TELEVISION (TERESSTRIAL)
In late 1994, Pink International took an important step in its development with the establishment of a terrestrial television broadcast operation: Pink TV. Starting with a small studio broadcasting to Belgrade, Pink TV quickly attracted a devoted and growing audience. By 1998, Pink TV had achieved countrywide reach as well as the viewer and advertising market dominance which it continues to hold today.
Pink TV’s high-quality domestically and internationally produced programming offers a popular line-up of contemporary soap operas, serials, sitcoms and films. Pink International is the single largest buyer of American programming, maintaining contracts with Warner Brothers and Paramount among others.
RADIO
Radio Pink was established in 1993, one of the first private commercial radio stations in the former Yugoslavia. Radio Pink offers a mixture of contemporary folk, pop and rock music. The station’s format offers no news or sports coverage. Radio Pink rapidly attracted a sizeable listening audience that made it a market leader almost immediately. Despite the proliferation of small, private radio stations over the last decade, Radio Pink continues to hold a solid audience share today.
In 1999, Radio Pink was awarded the most popular station in Serbia. Besides its popular play-list, Radio Pink has a daily call-in program (“Hit of the Day”) and a long-running morning program (“Cock-a-Doodle-Do”) that attract large listening audiences. |
